Let the 12x12 two tone cardstock do the work for you on this card.  Die-cut the large leaf die twice, once on the light side and again on the original side of the Old Olive cardstock.  Use a 4x4 square of DSP and a 4¼" x 1¼" piece of Outdoor Denim 12x12 two-tone cardstock.  That's right, make it bigger than you need.  This embossing folder with these deep ridges and dots may shrink your paper.  Cut to 4" long after embossing.  Then sand it to reveal the white core.  

When assembling the card, snip apart the darker leaf diecut.  You'll want to rearrange the branches.  Hide everything behind the sentiment.
